"I can hardly believe that I let my jaw pain get as bad as it did. Over the course of a year it went from bad to worse. I expressed my discomfort on several occassions to my former dentist and she told me that it was just stress and that I should visit a massage therapist or start taking yoga to relax. During my routine dental exam, Dr. McClatchie discovered an abscess creating a periodontal pocket. Being that I was leaving for an extended vacation within weeks, Dr. McClatchie referred me to the gum specialist for immediate surgery and bone grafting. It was then decided what was the best approach to save my tooth. Though there were no guarantees, I went with Dr. McClatchie’s recommendation and have had no problems since.
